I hope all is well with you and yours.  Let me start off today by saying that I’m not going to promise anymore that I will be back tomorrow or the next day because it just doesn’t happen.  It looks like I’m able to get back to my blog about once a week. 

 I came across something yesterday that I’m very excited about so be sure to check out my links at the bottom of the page and I’ll let you know about this  great new system I found.  Ok now on to the meat of the blog this week. 

I’ve been working on something different this week.  I’ve written my first article which took some time.   I know it’s long but please take some time to read it and let me know what you think.  

Understanding Social Networking in Internet Marketing

The first step in understanding Social Networking and deciding whether or not it is for you or your business is to understand the role it plays in marketing you and  your business.  Social networking can be accomplished often with little or no cost and we can use Social networking to tell our customers who we are and what we have for them that will in some way enhance and make their lives better. 

Using Social networking puts your personality up front and helps you to create relationships with others.  Social networking makes us a real person to our customers. If you want people to follow you share yourself with them. Work on creating relationships with people.   It will create good will between you and your potential customers and will give you a good chance (if the quality of your product is top notch) of customers returning to you again the next time they need a product or some information. The fact of the matter is that Social networking can be used to positively promote you, your interests and your sites.  

The role that Social networking has in Internet Marketing depends on the effort you are willing to put into it.  Social networking can be a lot of work. I’d rather call it “making friends” than work so I won’t say that “W” word again!   Social networking helps us to “brand” ourselves and our products and provides a personal interaction with you that people are looking for.  It can help you to familiarize others with your “brand” and gets your message to your audience in a relaxed environment. 

Social networking should be a part of your life everyday for you to be successful.  I think of it as talking to my best friends. I’d like to think that I treat others in my network of “friends” the way I treat my best friends and the way I’d like to be treated, with care, honesty and loyalty.  Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with everyone especially if your friend count is in the thousands, but I try my hardest to do the best I can and there are some programs out there that allow you to send a message to the masses like Socialoomph.  I’m sure there are others, but Socialoomph is the one I use. 

To be very successful you can’t just depend on Social networking; you also need to use other types of Internet marketing.  Internet Classified advertisements, Link exchanges, and Safelists are just a few low cost and sometimes free methods of advertising.   A lot of people think that Safelists don’t produce much traffic, but it’s been proven that they do work just as  several other low cost or free methods of advertising work.  There’s also Google Ad words, but that can get expensive if you are trying to keep your advertising costs down. 

Once you’ve become a leader in your field and reached “guru” status, you have the potential of making some serious money, but it will take some time so don’t count on it happening tomorrow.  It starts a slow trickle and soon more often and before you know it you will be finding money in your email box on a regular basis.

Be yourself; reveal your personality let your audience know who you are first.  Remember, Social networking makes you accessible to those interested in you and then your product.  There are dozens of sites you can start networking with others on including Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon, Digg, hi5 & You tube.  Just do a search on Social Networks and the list you come up with will keep you busy for a while.  Did I mention that videos are a great way to get yourself known out there? Wow, it’s hard to get back here everyday.  I’m just so busy right now that this seems to be that last thing I have to do at night…if I can stay awake long enough!  What have I been so busy doing you ask?  Well let me see.  I’ve been working on my websites, I just put up another one by the way…I’ll talk about that in a minute.  I’ve been advertising, and setting up my autoresponder emails. 

I’ve been helping my brother by taking him places he needs to go (he’s legally blind) which takes up quite a bit of time some days, today was one of those days, but I don’t mind.  He’s my brother and I love him and I can also be quite protective of him.  Going to make him some Fudge tomorrow, because he asked me nicely! 

I’m going to keep it short tonight, or this morning as it’s 1:50 A.M. as I write this and come back early tomorrow after I take the dog to get his shots and make another post.

This is my second blog, and I’m beginning to see an outline of sorts.  I think I’ll get the hang of it soon!  Please take some time to read my introduction below this post.  It will give you some insite as to who I am and also has some good sites that you might want to take a look at. 

I joined a club about 8 months ago called  The EZ Wealth Club .  This club may look like it’s another get rich quick scheme, but it’s not.  I’t about building multiple streams of income over time, which is a good thing!

Please allow me to introduce myself.   My name is Jody.  I’m a happy person 99.9% of the time.  I like going to the movies and the beach and traveling and my dogs and cats.  Family is very important to me.   I’m  just like a lot of people out there, I’m out of work.   I don’t want to work for the “Man” anymore I want to become accountable to no one but myself.   I came to realize that I was stuck in a rut after I lost my job and that I absolutely had to get out of this rut  if I wanted to live my dream which is to have a home of my own, nothing large just something that is mine.  I want to be able to travel and work where ever it is I may be.  I want to be able to help my family and friends financially so I’ve started a journey learning how to make a living online.   I’m going to be leaving posts here about my progress and the programs I’m using to make my dream come true…and maybe it might encourage and help others to make their dreams come true also.

I want a home of my own.  Now living with my mother isn’t all that bad.  At least I’m not living alone, and we are good company for each other.   I’m grateful that I have a roof over my head and for a dear sweet and loving mother.    My desire is to have a nice little house and be able to help my family and friends and have some financial independence.  I want my mother to be able to retire.  She’s 73 and deserves a nice secure retirement and I don’t want her to worry about finances.  I want to be able to take care of her as she has taken care of and helped me out over the last few years since my divorce. 

I was laid off almost a year ago and have been looking for work, but I have also been looking for a way to make a living online, which can be a lot of work.   I found myself thinking all the time about how I could work for myself and help others as I was filling out endless job applications.   Well I stopped thinking about it and took action.  If you don’t take action nothing happens.   I made a promise to myself to take action every day to make my dream of making a living online come true so I would be able to take care of me, my family and close friends.

Over the past several months I’ve made some real progress.  I’ve come across several great websites that actually do what they say they will do!  It’s taken some time to find these sites, but all of the sudden the right kind of sites started coming my way.  These are sites that make money for me, but they are not get rich quick schemes.  They take some work, but nothing that can’t be accomplished in 3 or 4 hours a day. 

The biggest problem I’ve found is once you get a site that you want to promote is how to get traffic to it. I’ve learned how to “work smarter, not harder.”  I’ve tried PPC, but my pocket book couldn’t handle it.  I’ve worked with safelists and traffic exchanges.  A little time consuming but you do get results. 

Twitter has become a great source of leads for me.  When I started on Twitter I was posting as often as I could and mainly just talking to friends, eventually I found out that Twitter could be used as a great tool to promote your programs…but I needed to post frequently so instead of sitting at the computer all day and posting on Twitter I went on a quest to find a program that would help me accomplish my goal of being able to post frequently without having to constantly keep coming back to twitter every 10 or 15 minutes to make a post. I knew that I wanted something that I could put on autopilot.  I eventually came across a great productivity tool called Socialoomph .  

My first hand experience with Socialoomph has been great.  It is easy to use and set up your posts on a schedule.  Personally, I really wanted it on autopilot, set it and forget it, so I took the Socialoomph free 1 week trial to see how it worked and I was very happy with the outcome. Socialoomph was just what I was looking for.  It automatically sends your tweets every 5 or 10 minutes 24/7, or whenever you want to send tweets.  After the free trial was over it didn’t even take me a minute to sign up for a pro membership as I had made more than enough during the Socialoomph trial period to pay for the monthly membership and it is well worth the price.  With the free version Socialoomph you can post up to 12 times an hour but it takes about 20 minutes to set up 12 posts, so if you want to post your 12 tweets 3 or 4 times a day, you can set it up in about two hours every day.  I much prefer the Pro version of Socialoomph.   The pro version is a great timesaver!I still enjoy Twitter and post  personal tweets every day and say hi to everyone and see how things are going.  So go and check out Socialoomph and get your tweets set up on autopilot.  You’re going to love it!
